Description
Just dropped, the MMW 004 x Nike Zoom Baroque Brown is what happens when you give Matthew M. Williams, founder and creative director of Alyx the metaphorical keys to the shop and asked him to create quite possibly the bounciest shoe Nike has ever produced. Blending retro concepts with futuristic design elements, this new shape takes inspiration from the Zoom Vomero 4 from the early-’00s for its upper shape which has then been revolutionised by the deployment of a high-tenacity single-layer mesh that covers its entirety free from overlays and stitching. Underneath, things are somewhat familiar, due to the use of a classic rubber Waffle-like outsole that has been shaped like a continuous track on a construction vehicle, housing and exposed pair of Zoom Air pods in the forefoot delivering that desired and much heralded high-tech propulsion.
